Nigel joined the firm as a Trainee Chartered Accountant in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Accounting from QUB. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 Nigel is now a Fellow Member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and in 2019 was appointed as Director of Audit and Business Services within GMcG's Belfast office. Nigel has overall service responsibility for a large and diverse portfolio of clients, which includes SME businesses, charities, clubs and other organisations covering a wide range of business sectors. An extremely experienced expert in financial reporting, accounting, auditing and the provision of business advice, Nigel has specific expertise on charity accounting and reporting and has lectured to Chartered Accountants Ireland and regularly presents on the subject.
Outside of work Nigel is on the finance committee of Ballymena Baptist Church and is a keen sports fan and a passionate supporter of the Northern Ireland Football Team. He lives in Ballymena and is married with three young children, who take up most of his spare time
