Well done to GMcG staff members Nadia Mowlood, Jill Loughins and Louise Sittlington who spent their morning on May 29th volunteering at The Welcome Organisation in Belfast, our 2024 charity partner.
GMcG is delighted to have volunteering teams in place for a number of days during the year to help at the organisation's Townsend Street Drop-In Centre, assisting with a range of tasks including sorting a wide range of donated clothes, toiletries and food items.
Commenting on the volunteering, Jill Loughins said:
"It was fantastic to see how much is donated in terms of the clothes and other items, but it also gave us a real appreciation of the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to keep this type of organisation operational.
We had a busy morning sorting through endless amounts of clothes, but it was enjoyable and very rewarding knowing so many homeless people will benefit”.
