GMcG's Richard Anderson, Leeanne Buchanan, Hannah McAdam and Gary Watson are swapping their calculators for some hiking gear as they plan to take on NI's highest mountain, Slieve Donard, in aid of AWARE.
The group plans to reach the 850 metre summit on October 6th, as part of a trek organised by AWARE, GMcG's 2018 charity partner. Fundraising has started in earnest, as have the messages of support from friends and colleagues, and our would-be mountaineers are very much looking forward the challenge.
As explained by Gary Watson, Associate Director at GMcG Portadown:
"AWARE is doing fantastic work throughout our communities and when we were made aware of this trek, the four of us had no hesitation in putting our names forward. Some of us have done some hill climbing in the past but Slieve Donard is a special location.
We are very much looking forward to it. But with the unpredictability of our NI weather, we really have no idea how big the challenge will be on the day!"
