GMcG Portadown and Portadown Chamber of Commerce teamed up for another information event for local businesses owners.
The event, which took place at Millennium Court Arts Centre on 29 November, included presentations from GMcG’s Gill Johnston and Eva Mrazikova on Making Tax Digital (MTD) and Cloud Accounting.
The capacity audience also had an opportunity to meet with members of the GMcG Digital team for one-to-one consultations. The level of attendance and interest in the consultations were testament to the importance of MTD preparation for local business owners. As explained by Gill Johnston:
“As the April 1st deadline for MTD implementation draws closer, we find that many business owners are still trying to understand how their business may be impacted and how they need to prepare.
Crucially, a key message from our events focuses on the benefits of digitalisation and how a range of Cloud Accounting packages can bring practical benefits and opportunities for businesses. As always, it was great to support the Chamber and have the opportunity to meet business owners from numerous industry sectors, as well as representatives from banks and other organisations, as we continue to highlight the importance of key developments related to MTD and Cloud Accounting”.
