Clients and contacts of GMcG enjoyed another very successful Corporate Golf Day at The Royal Belfast Golf Club on September 17th. It was the eighth year in which the Golf Day has been hosted by GMcG and it again proved to be immensely popular with all who attended for the golf and evening of hospitality at the renowned Club.
The sun shone for the opening couple of holes but a few mid afternoon showers did not dampen the spirits of those who made their way round the splendidly prepared course. Overall winner on the day was Sam Beckett, Pinsent Masons. Other winners included Philip Gregg (best gross); Mary Frances Kearney (second best net); Huw Worthington (best front nine); Joe Moore (best back nine and nearest the pin on 17th); and Paul Prenter (longest drive on 18th).
Upon their return from the course, participants enjoyed a drinks reception and some fine dining after which Tony Nicholl, GMcG Managing Partner, addressed the large number of attendees and presented the prizes to the winners.
Michael Gibson, GMcG Partner and past Captain of The Royal Belfast Golf Club, was delighted with how the day went and also showed his appreciation to those who helped make the day a success:
“It was a hugely enjoyable day for everyone involved and we are again very grateful to have had the use of one of Ireland’s most prestigious courses. I would also like to thank all of those at the Club who helped with the arrangements as well as those who took time from their working day to participate and make this such a successful and worthwhile event”.
