GMcG Chartered Accountants is proud to announce that its 2025 charity partner, Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke (NICHS), has received a £16,000 donation following an outstanding year of fundraising by GMcG employees.
This is a record charity donation from the firm and one which undoubtedly will make a huge difference in supporting NICHS as it works with people of all ages across the country, delivering vital care and prevention services, supporting ground-breaking research and campaigning for change.
The decision to partner with NICHS was the result of a voting and selection process involving employees from across GMcG’s Belfast, Lisburn and Portadown offices. This approach is adopted by the firm each year to ensure the charity partner is always the choice of employees.
Susan Dunlop, GMcG Managing Director, commented:
“This is an incredible amount to have raised and testament to the charity that so many people dug deep for such a worthy cause. We were genuinely overwhelmed with the level of support from clients, colleagues and contacts of the firm.
The fundraising was also the result of hard work and creativity from many of our employees who organised and participated in a range of activities, from marathon running and bake sales to a Mourne Mountain Trek and a Firewalk Challenge.
We would once again like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who participated and of course the many clients and friends of the firm who donated so generously during the year”.
Lindsay Lutton, Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke Corporate Fundraiser, added:
"We are so grateful to have been chosen as GMcG’s 2025 charity partner and to receive this wonderful donation. We would like to thank all the GMcG employees, clients and friends of the firm for their hard work and generosity in support of our charity.”
“Today, there are at least 400,000 people living with a chest, heart or stroke condition in Northern Ireland - that's one in four of the population. Almost 90% of our income comes from public donations so fundraising efforts and charity partnerships like GMcG’s are vital for our charity and what we can achieve.”
