Payroll Manager

GMcG currently has a vacancy for a Payroll Manager. The role will be suited to a motivated individual who has extensive technical experience in all aspects of the payroll function and is able to provide excellence in service delivery.

Our Payroll team provides significant expertise and specialist knowledge to a range of businesses.  Our strongly integrated approach is based upon providing pro-active advice and support across the full spectrum of payroll services and our BACS-approved Payroll Bureau allows clients to outsource a key function of their business.  The services we offer include:

  • Fully managed payroll services
  • BACs system
  • Payroll projections
  • Pension Administration
  • Consultancy service

You will be responsible for leading and managing a small team of payroll specialists – overseeing and processing end-to-end monthly payroll for a wide range of clients, including payments, pension administration, tax and all related requirements.

Establishing successful working relationships with both your team and clients will be key.    

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of payroll processing in a computerised payroll environment
  • Good working knowledge of practical payroll matters and current legislation
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving and planning skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Packages e.g., Word, Excel, Email
  • Experience in an accountancy practice/payroll bureau is desirable
